IKO-Kiteinstructor Course

Date: 24/25-29.06.2007

Language: English

Candidates for IKO Instructor Training Course (ITC) should:

-Be able to perform a jump, perform a controlled turn and switch riding, ride constantly upwind and ride between other riders.
-Attest a valid first aid certificate. *
-Have a powerboat license or equivalent skill level if no obligatory license in the home country. *Have a powerboat license or equivalent skill level if no obligatory license in the
-Be at least 18 years old.

*First aid and powerboat exams can be done on the 24th.

Candidate to Instructor Equivalency Course (IEC) for certified instructor by VDWS/ PASA/ FAV & FEV should:
-Be at least 19 years old.
-Provide an attestation (letter of recommendation) of a minimum of 1 year experience as an instructor.
-Provide a copy of a valid first aid/CPR certificate and a powerboat license or equivalent skill level if no obligatory license is required in the home country. (Skills will be evaluated during the IEC).
Costs: ITC-590.-
IEC: 325.-
Accomodation at Cala Azzurra (www.calazzurra.com) around 100€/week-sharing
apartments, camping (www.oasivieste.it) nearby.

Hello dear friends of the Gargano!

The 2007season is going to be opened pretty soon and there´s a lot of news at the Gargano Surf´n´Kite Center.

1.Season opening: The official opening will be on the 12th of may in both centers, Cala Azzurra and La Chianca. The kiteseason starts already on the first days of may.

2.Italian lessons: Our co-worker Natalia Olivieri starts with her language school this year. If you want to learn Italian just send us an e-mail and we´ll send you further informations back.

3.Flights to South Italy: Vieste is best reachable from following airports:

-Bari-180 km
-Pescara-220km
-Naples-280km

Now there are also cheap flights from following companies avaible:

4.Car Rental
You can find an Avis station in Vieste. Prices for daily rentals are cheaper now (60€ a day), the charge for the week is still around 200€.

5. IKO-Instructor course
At our center you´ll have the chance to do the IKO-Kiteinstructor course two times this year. In the end of June will be held a course in English, and around the 10 th September in German.

6.Shuttleservice Villagio di Ulivi:
We added a new service this year. Now you can enjoy our shuttleservice not just between our two stations "La Chianca" and "Cala Azzurra", this year we also will catch or bring you from/to the holiday village "Villaggio degli Ulivi" in the center of the bay.
